New CISCO CCNA Exam 200-301

Cisco certification program has been changed from Feb. 24, 2020. All multiple different CCNA exams and certifications has been absolute and only a single, comprehensive exam has been introduced. The new exam’s code is 200-301 CCNA and its full name is Implementing and Administering Cisco Networking Technologies. According to Cisco, the new exam “covers a broad range of fundamentals based on the latest technologies, software development skills, and job roles“.

What is CCNA?

CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) is a certification from Cisco, the world’s most famous company for manufacturing and selling networking equipment. This certification helps you to become familiar with a wide range of topics, such as:

• LAN/WAN
• TCP/IP model
• Switches and Routers
• Network utilities (ping, tracert, arp)
• IP addressing and subnetting
• VLANs and trunking
• WLAN
• NAT and ACLs
• Automation and programmability

How to become CCNA certified?

• CCDA (Cisco Certified Design Associate)

Right now, the specialization at the CCNA level is no more available. you need to choice specialized filed at the CCNP Certification level.

What about previous CCNA certificates?

Your CCNA certification what you passed was under the old rules will be active until its expiration date. After February 2020, your passed CCNA certification has been transitioned to new program. In such case if you have any of the current CCNA certificates (e.g. CCNA Industrial or CCNA Routing and Switching), you will automatically be granted the new CCNA certificate.
